Perfect basic strategy leaves the house a 2% edge.
It's about 0.5% — roughly 0.6% on an H17 game. The course itself says 0.5% at 59:35 and never caught the contradiction. Two percent is a 6:5 table, or a guesser.

Counting gives you around 5% or more over the house.
The real edge is 1% to 1.5% — and only with a good game, a real bet spread, decent rules, and good penetration. I overstated it, in the direction that sells courses.

Shuffle tracking doesn't work.
It does work — under deep penetration, a simple shuffle, and a lot of practice. Rare conditions, so for most players the answer is still don't. But it's a real technique, not a myth.

Always round down when calculating the true count.
Truncate toward zero — drop the fraction, whatever the sign: −2.05 counts as −2, +2.9 counts as +2. On positive counts that looks like rounding down; on negative counts it is not, and the 2020 phrasing was imprecise there.

The casino quote carried a personal attribution, as transcribed.
The transcription garbles the spoken name and no source on file establishes it. The quote stands de-attributed — a casino executive — rather than carry a guessed name.

Cut rather than corrected — retired because it cannot be papered. No paper supports the figure and no property is named, and it is not federal law: money-services logging generally starts at $3,000 and currency reports at $10,000. Nothing goes in its place. A threshold I cannot source does not belong in a course whose whole argument is that you can check me.
